Announcement: Electric Deregulation in Illinois welcomes Viridian Energy on 8/1/11.

It was just recently announced to the public that  Viridian Energy thru www.GreenVenergysolutions.com has been approved to start selling their Green energy solutions to the residents of Illinois. This is great news for Illinois residents and could not have come at a better time. Because there are reports that their is going to be a 40%-60% increase in utility rates in Illinois this year. While Viridian Energy rates by comparison to the local utilities are “Projected” to provide double digit savings for Illinois customers in the next 12 months.

The “official” rates have not been publicly listed yet , but in the next few weeks we will be posting it on our websites. If you are a Illinois customer and you are reading this, Keep and eye on our websites for the official energy rate announcements for the Illinois Market.

While many energy programs offer discounts. Very few can offer good savings combined with green alternative solutions at a competitive price that do not make it cost prohibitive to the average consumer.  That being said, Viridian Energy has 2 great Green programs that will allow you to buy and have your electric provided from sources utilizing 20% to 100% energy derived from renewable resources.  Helping the Planet is so important to so many people. Those that are extremely enviormentaly concious are now able to choose to have their energy provided by 100% windpower or for those that still want to help conserve the enviorment  but cannot afford the 100% solution , They can choose to have 20% of their energy provided by windpower at a extremely competitve price at prices projected to be lower than that of their current electric provider.

By my research I have concluded that less than 1% of the Illinois Electric residential market has chosen a third party supplier and that there is over 5,000,000 customers in the two main markets of Amergen & ComEd that can be benefited by these 2 new electric program alternatives.  Do to the currently projected rate hikes, Illinois customers may actually see savings higher than the other recently opened markets that Viridian Energy also serves in NJ, MD, CT, PA & NY.
